Educational Qualification:- Candidates Should be Graduate in any discipline from a Recognized University for appointment to Junior Commissioned Officers (Religious Teacher). Candidates must also possess following qualifications according to the religious denomination.
1. Pandit:- Hindu Candidates with Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi. OR Candidates who have passed Graduation with Sanskrit / Hindi as one of the main subject will also eligible.
2. Granthi:- Sikh candidates with Vidwan in Punjabi or equivalent standard. OR Candidates who have passed Graduation with Punjabi as one of the main subject will also eligible.

3. Pandit (Gorkha):- Hindu (Gorkha) Candidates with Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi. OR Candidates who have passed Graduation with Sanskrit / Hindi as one of the main subject will also eligible.
4. Padre:- Christian Candidates who have been Ordained Priesthood by the Appropriate Ecclesiastical Authority and is still on the approved list of the local Bishop.
5. Maulvi:- Muslim candidates with Maulvi Alim in Arabic, Adib Alim in Urdu. OR Candidates who have passed Graduation with Arabic/Urdu as one of the main subject will also eligible.
6. Maulvi (Shia):- Muslim Shia Ladakh candidates with Maulvi Alim in Arabic, Adib Alim in Urdu. OR Candidates who have passed Graduation with Arabic/Urdu as one of the main subject will also eligible.
7. Bodh Monk (Mahayana):- Buddhist (Mahayana) candidates who have been ordained Monk/Buddhist Priest, by the Appropriate Authority.

NOTE:- The Minimum Qualification will be 10+2 For service candidates applying for remastering.

Age Limits:-  Should be between 27 to 34 Years of Age On 01-10-2024. OR Should be born between 01-10-1990 and 01-10-1997 (Both Dates inclusive).

Physical Standard:- (i) Height:- Height should be minimum 160 cm (157 cm for Gorkhas & Ladakhi)
(ii) Chest:- Should be minimum 77 cm with 5 cm expansion.
(iii) Weight:- Should be minimum 50 kg (48 kg for Gorkhas)
(iv) Physical Fitness Test:- Candidate should be able to run 1600 Meter in 08 Minutes.
